Bedrooms at the Maids Head Hotel in Norwich
The Maids Head Hotel has 84 bedrooms including standard twin and double rooms, executive rooms, historical feature rooms, suites and rooms suitable for families. The bedrooms are furnished in a warm welcoming contemporary style and offer modern comforts and amenities.
The rooms are individually decorated with personalised charm and character. All have en- suite bath and shower facilities, duvets, satellite TV, hair dryer and hospitality tray of teas and coffees. Room service is available 24 hours.
Our character rooms are beautifully decorated but have hosted influential characters such as Queen Elizabeth I, The Black Prince, Catherine of Aragon throughout time. Today are visited by popular celebrities and musician, business people and individual tourists.
Queen Elizabeth Suite
Rumoured to have been Queen Elizabeth I’s bedroom when she visited the city in 1587. The Suite has a spacious lounge with comfortable seating area. The room is located in the original part of the Maids Head Hotel and has solid exposed beams throughout the Lounge and Bedroom, Original feature headboard and furniture from 16th Century add to the character of the room. Extra tall guests may find the beams in this room a challenge.
Cathedral Suite
The Cathedral Suite has a separate lounge and dining area for relaxation or entertaining guests. The lounge is flooded with natural daylight from four original sash windows. A feature fireplace in the lounge and exposed beams in the Lounge and Bedroom add to the character and individuality of this Suite. A large desk in the bedroom provides a comfortable place of work.
The Ranworth Suite
A spacious bedroom with a luxurious king size contemporary four-poster bed. There is a comfortable sofa area that provides a quiet space if you wish to entertain or simply relax in your suite. A feature fireplace and exposed beams add to the character and individuality of this room. A large desk is also provided in the bedroom.
The Paston Suite
An oriental antique carved four-poster bed is the focal point in this room which has a very special, tranquil feel offering a relaxing seating area overlooking the Tombland district of the city. The room is flooded with natural daylight from two large original sash windows and in the evening the gentle glow from the chandelier lights the room. A large desk space is available in the bedroom.
