The award winning Maids Head is known to be the oldest hotel in the UK, dating back over 800 years. Perfectly located in the heart of Norwich with its own large car park, this independent, AA 4 Star Silver Hotel, boasts charm and an abundance of character.

Nestled in the eaves of the hotel, this stunning Suite boasts high valued ceilings with exposed beams and is decorated with inspiration from the beauty of Thetford Forest embracing earthy elements.

The Erpingham Gate suite named after the Cathedrals Erpingham gate entrance which is the view point from this elegant and stylish suite.

The Shardlake, is a favourite junior suite, full of charm and the king sized bed can be made into a twin bedded room if required. The spacious bedroom has a warm and cosy feel.

The WinePress Restaurant
The WinePress Restaurant has proudly retained it’s 2 AA Rosettes since April 2016.
As well as the Rosette menu, we offer a pre-bookable 5 course tasting menu. Each dish is paired with a complementary wine from our extensive list to offer a delightful dining experience.
A Classics Menu is also available if looking for something a little more traditional. Afternoon tea is also served daily.
