Canadian and USA Shuffleboard Players at Maids Head
We have been very pleased to look after a group of 37 experienced Shuffleboard players from Canada and the United States, who have been in Norwich for the first major UK competition in this North American sport. The competition was staged at St Andrews Hall. Murray Burnett from Canada was the overall winner.
Jim Allen from Florida, who led the group with his wife Beth said: ”Our visit to Norwich has exceeded our expectations. The staff at St Andrews Hall and the Maids Head have been fantastic. St Andrews Hall was an ideal venue for our competition. It was wonderful playing shuffleboard in a building dating back to the Middle Ages.”
What really made it was that Norwich was so walkable. It was really easy for the group to get to St Andrews Hall, visit the Cathedral and go to shops, pubs and restaurants. The Maids Head Hotel was a perfect choice for us blending the history and culture of the city. We stayed in a historical building with an incredible staff.”
