The historic Maids Head has sadly had to close it's doors

It is with a very heavy heart that we announced the closure of The Maids Head Hotel following the Government advise on Tuesday, 24th March, for what potentially is the first time in the Hotel's incredible 800 year history. We will initially remain closed until the end of April, but we will keep you updated as soon as we have some good news to share. Find out more in our blog post.

Heritage Open Days Paston Lecture, Thursday 11 September

Join us on Thursday 11 September at 11am for a drop in Norwich Heritage Opens Days lecture in the Oak Room. Elizabeth McDonald from UEA will be talking about The Pastons and their Library.

Sir John Paston recommended us in 1472 advising a visitor that ‘if he tery at norwyche ther whyls, it were best to sette hys horse at the Maydes Hedde.’
