The historic Maids Head has successfully reopened

We are delighted to announce that on Saturday, 4th July we successfully and safely reopened our doors. Rest assured we have put into place all the Government's COVID-19 Secure health and safety measures to ensure the well being of all our guests and staff. Maids Head Launches Oldest Hotel in Britain Claim

e launched a claim today to be the oldest hotel in Britain. The claim is based on the hotel’s site being used continuously for hospitality since the early 12th century.

A proclamation making the claim, announced by Bob Lloyd, Deputy City Crier, was officially signed by The Lord Mayor of Norwich, Councillor Keith Driver, Caroline Jarrold, Chairman of Visit Norwich and Christine Malcolm, General Manager the Maids Head Hotel (pictured left to right)
