The Hotel is continuing to remain open to support all those guests who are permitted to travel for essential purposes. For the comfort of our guests, we will be providing room service of both full English breakfast all delivered safely to the bedroom door.

Following Government guidelines we are delighted that as from Monday, April 12th, our pretty courtyard is open for alfresco dining.  From this date we can also offer a night of escape in one of our self-contained suites.  To find out more click on the link, these can only be booked direct with the hotel. Providing the roadmap stays on track, we will be fully open from Monday, May 17th and our fantastic team cannot wait to welcome you back.

Norfolk Food and Drink Festival 2013


From Saturday 31st August to Sunday 6th October there will be hundreds of “foodie” events taking place all over our wonderful county and The Maids Head Hotel is no exception.

Norfolk is a county with so many diverse landscapes producing such an incredible array of food and drink.
We have the brackish marshes and golden beaches of North Norfolk; the seaside holiday towns of the east coast.
Then there is the beautiful Breckland with its heaths and forest; the Broads – Britain’s Magical Waterland; the fens of West Norfolk and the historic towns of South Norfolk.
Norfolk has a huge rural, farming economy but also the bustling, historic city of Norwich where you can find some of the best independent shopping, hotels and eating outlets.

Here at the Maids Head Hotel we are proud of our county and that is why we believe in using the best locally sourced meats, fish, fruits and vegetables as well as wine from our fine county and throughout the whole food and drink festival we will be running a 3 course wine and dine menu where each course will be paired to a delicious wine produced from Norfolk.


Twice baked Norfolk dapple soufflé with Norfolk beetroot and walnut salad


Rump of Smallburgh spring lamb, rosemary creamed potatoes, glazed baby vegetables and red wine sauce.


Norfolk rhubarb parfait, spiced ginger bread, crystallized ginger

(Vegetarian & dietary requirements are also catered for)

All courses matched with a Winbirri Vineyards wine to perfectly complement each dish.
