23rd December

You are welcome to park up at leisure and take the opportunity to explore our fine City. There is also the option of an afternoon spin in our vintage Bentley.

After settling-in, join the Team for a glass of Mulled Wine and mince pies before dining in our 2 AA Rosette WinePress Restaurant. Our Kitchen Brigade will serve a  4 course Tasting Menu, where seasonal produce is championed. Dishes will be accompanied by wines especially selected by our Wine Merchants, Peter Graham Wines.

Christmas Eve – 24th December

Enjoy a relaxing morning or take advantage of our prime location to explore our Fine City. Before lunch, there is the option to take the first of two walking tours with Paul Dickson, the Norwich Tour Guide. His Historic Tombland Tour will include a visit to Norwich Cathedral Close, Elm Hill and the Riverside Walk.

Throughout the day we will again be offering spins around the City in our vintage Bentley. Our Chefs will serve a 2 course lunch from 12 noon. In the afternoon, we invite those of you who have just joined us, to meet the Hotel Management and members of the team for a glass of mulled wine and mince pies. Our unique puzzle and quiz will also be revealed

In the evening, as we welcome you to join fellow guests for our 6 course Taste of England dinner, there will be entertainment from Jazz Duo, Francesca and Clifford. The menu takes inspiration from the wealth of ingredients our Region produces. The WinePress Restaurant was proudly awarded Highly Commended in the Taste of East of England Tourism Awards 2022.

You are then invited to join us as we take a stroll across the road to Norwich Cathedral to attend “The Midnight Eucharist” with carols and lessons. Upon returning, enjoy a warming hot chocolate and stollen cake in the lounge before retiring to bed.

Christmas Day – 25th December

Start your special day with a full English breakfast, accompanied by a glass of Bucks Fizz. After breakfast and presents, there’s a second opportunity to join Paul for a talk and tour of the Maids Head, and to hear about the hotel’s 800-year history.

A glass of Champagne awaits as you join us from 12 noon for our sumptuous Christmas Day luncheon. Chef’s menu will feature the traditional Christmas dishes, along with some twists on the classics, there will also be a visit from Father Christmas!

In the afternoon, relax in the comfort of one of the lounges, watch the King’s Speech, accompanied by tea and Christmas cake. To fully embrace Christmas, take another stroll across the road for ‘Evensong’ at Norwich Cathedral.  Finish the day by grazing upon our Taste of Norfolk buffet.

Boxing Day – 26th December

After breakfast take a drive out to the coast or perhaps visit the Norfolk Broads. Return for a traditional afternoon tea served from 12 noon.

In the evening our Kitchen Brigade will present a 5 course Farewell Dinner, served under the glittering chandeliers in our Minstrel Suite. Step out on to the dance floor where our House DJ will play music through the decades. Alternatively have a flutter at the casino table.

27th December

Enjoy a full English breakfast at leisure before setting off on your journey home. Or take advantage of our special rates and add an extra couple of nights to your stay.

Enjoy a 3 night stay – 24th – 27th December from only £600.00 per person.

Enjoy a 4 night stay – 23rd to 27th December from only £775.00 per person.

Prices are based on 2 people sharing one of our Classic double rooms, a single supplement of £50 per night will apply. Upgrade to one of our executive rooms or treat yourselves to one of our stylish suites.
