In February, 2022, the Hotel became the extremely proud winner of Large Hotel of the Year, in the East of England Tourism Awards, held at Duxford War Museum.

The team are totally bowled over to have been recognised for their passion and dedication to the historic Maids Head Hotel and to be able to bring the award home to the Fine City of Norwich. Christine Malcolm, the General Manager, commented “Our dedicated team have worked so hard over the past few years and we have been fortunate to have received such support and investment from our owner. The Hotel is going from strength to strength and this award cements everything the team are aiming to achieve. Our guests are at the heart of everything we do and this award demonstrates that commitment ”

Not only has the Hotel been fortunate to have had a multi-million pound makeover, but it is now investing in Maids Head Experiences. This includes a dining experience in the WinePress Restaurant, to a spin in one of two vintage Bentleys, or the hiring of a Bobbin Bike to a cruise along the Wensum in the Hotel’s Frolic 31 electric river boat, The Tiffany Rose.

The Hotel also achieved Highly Commended, in the Taste of East of England award, recognising the Food and Beverage team for their support of local suppliers and produce and for the seasonality of their menus.
