The 2 AA Rosette WinePress Restaurant offers a fine dining experience in the heart of Norwich. The a la carte menu champions seasonal flavours sourced from local suppliers. The WinePress is the proud winner of the Taste of England award in the 2026 Norfolk and Suffolk Tourism Awards.

There is the option to choose between the Rosette Menu or Tasting Menu, where the dishes have been expertly paired with complementary wines. Alternatively dine from our Classics Menu, served 12.00 – 9.30pm.
Afternoon Tea
Indulge in our traditional Afternoon Tea which can be savoured either from the comfort of one of our lounges, or in the WinePress Restaurant.
Sunday Lunch
Served between 12.00 and 2.30pm. Gather your family and friends togethers and relax in the atmospheric surroundings of the WinePress Restaurant, or in the pretty Courtyard.
Maids Head Bar
An Inn has operated on the Maids Head site since the 13th century and the original inn was called the Molde Fish or Murtel Fish Tavern. The Maids Head gets its first public mention on 22 November 1472 in a Paston Letter. John Paston recommends the Inn as “a good place to stable your horse”. The Maids Head has had a long history of looking after visitors and local people. This has included the Black Prince, who was entertained by the people of Norwich when he visited in 1350. Also Katherine of Aragon when she visited in 1519.
You can enjoy a drink in the Bar from 11am to 11pm daily and the Classics Menu between 12.00 noon and 9.30pm.
A 24 hour menu is available for guests staying at the hotel.
Maids Head Courtyard
An alfresco experience awaits in our pretty Courtyard, open daily from 10.00 – 8.00pm. Set in the heart of the hotel it provides a tranquil space to enjoy a coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, or if the fancy takes you, just pop in for a cocktail. Outdoor heaters and blankets available for when the evenings turn chilly.

Maids Head Lounge
No need to book. Just pop in for a coffee, tea or a light bite to eat. The lounge offers a comfortable array of armchairs and settees, perfect also for a quiet business meeting.
