In line with current Government guidelines we are staying open for those travellers whose journeys are essential. Please read our Blog for full details. We are proud to deliver Norfolk’s finest for hospitality and for the comfort of our guests we provide room service of a full English breakfast, along with the option to book a table for dinner in our pretty Inside Out courtyard, or to have it delivered safely to the bedroom door. We plan to be able to open the Hotel fully on Monday, 17th May.

The award winning Maids Head Hotel is known to be the oldest hotel in the UK, dating back over 800 years. Perfectly located in the centre of Norwich with its own large car park, this independent, AA 4 Star Silver Hotel, boasts charm and an abundance of character. Walk through its doors and embrace the welcoming splendour of a traditional and historical hotel which today boasts contemporary elegance. Providing excellent service, the hotel is ideally located with the whole of the fine City of Norwich on our doorstep. The Hotel also provides the perfect base to explore Norfolk.
Over the past seven years, the Maids Head Hotel has embarked on a multi-million pound investment with our guests at the heart of every decision made, this has currently included all our 84 bedrooms, along with our Reception, comfortable lounges and the addition of our brand new Bentley Showroom which provides a unique event space. We have also invested in providing our guests with a unique experience whether it be with a spin around the City in one of our vintage Bentleys or to hire one of our bicycles to explore the surrounding area or new for summer 2021 to enjoy a meander along the river in our Frolic 31 river boat, the Tiffany Rose. NEW for summer 2021 – The Tiffany Rose, Frolic 31 River Boat14th April 2021
The Maids Head Hotel has purchased an elegant Edwardian style Frolic 31 electric launch and, following a winter refit, the Tiffany Rose will take to the River Wensum in Norwich this June.
The boat will be driven by a Maids Head skipper, assisted by a steward, and can take 10 passengers. The Tiffany Rose will be available to hire for afternoon tea afloat, wedding photography and receptions, business away days, drinks receptions and guided river tours. The electric river boat will provide the perfect setting for celebrating a special occasion with friends and family.
Best Beauty provide a full range of beauty treatments in a contemporary, chic and welcoming space. Located at the Hotel, the Salon offers a variety of treatments, ranging from those designed to relax and nourish you, to the more everyday essential treatments. Sophie and Leanne offer some of the very best treatments in Norfolk, including massages, facials, manicures, pedicures & waxing.
