There’s always something a little special about Afternoon Tea here at The Maids Head. This August, we have teamed up with a wonderful Norfolk charity for Afternoon Tea week.
From 10-16 August, £2 from every Afternoon Tea we serve will be donated to Amber’s Army. So whether you’re marking an occasion, meeting a friend, or just carving out a quiet afternoon in Norwich’s oldest hotel, you’ll be doing some good while you’re at it.
Supporting Amber’s Army
Amber’s Army supports Norfolk families going through the unimaginable – caring for a child with a terminal cancer diagnosis. It’s the kind of local charity that quietly makes a huge difference, and we’re proud to stand behind their work this Afternoon Tea week.
Every tea served during the week plays a small part in that – a simple way for our guests to help families right here in Norfolk.
Afternoon Tea Week Menu
Our Head Chef and his team have put together a menu just for the occasion – plenty of colour, a few seasonal surprises, and all the classics done properly.

Savoury favourites:
Cheese Straws
Sausage Rolls
Mushroom Quiche
Prawn Cocktail
All served alongside freshly made sandwiches – including our Beetroot-cured Salmon & Cream cheese on Sourdough and a Norfolk crunch BLT Roll – for a spread that’s classic Afternoon Tea with a few thoughtful twists.
