The Maids Head proudly retains its AA 4 star silver award following a recent anonymous visit from the AA Inspector. The AA Inspector arrives to stay without warning. They check in for an overnight bed and breakfast stay and book a table for one in the Restaurant for dinner. Not announcing their true identity until after checking out in the morning.
The Inspectors visit once a year and complete a highly detailed review of the guest’s journey, before adding up the scores and writing their full report. For the fifth year running, we are delighted to once again be awarded 4 star silver. The merit score increasing year on year. Christine Malcolm, our General Manager, commented “We really value these visits as they fully endorse everything that our fabulous team strive to achieve”.
We are proud to boast 84 contemporary bedrooms, including 4 suites and 8 junior suites, all with their own unique style and design. Over the past 10 years, since becoming independent, the Hotel has undergone a multi-million pound investment. Sarah Prior, Deputy Head Receptionist, who has worked at the Maids Head for over 20 years said “I am incredibly proud to be part of the Maids Head family and I have loved witnessing the refurbishment of our beautiful, award-winning and historic hotel.”
The AA Inspector commented “…. the Hotel remains a great place to stay because of the quality and style and continues to comfortably meet AA Quality Standards, therefore, I am pleased to confirm a four Star classification and a Silver Star Award. Hospitality and service was professional and attentive throughout my time at the hotel therefore, the team should be thanked for their efforts”.
