Community Hero Award
Jo Hoy, awarded Community Hero by Age UK Norwich at Carrow Road
Jo Hoy, our lovely Sales Exec, was presented by Age UK Norwich with their Community Hero Award.
On a memorable match day for NCFC, where Norwich won 6 -1 against Plymouth Argyle, Jo was presented at half time on the pitch of Carrow Road with this very special award. Age UK Norwich selected Jo as their Community Hero for her commitment and unwavering support.
Age UK were nominated by the Maids Head team at the Employee Council Meeting in January. The Council, chaired by Christine, the Hotel’s General Manager, meet every quarter. The Council members include a representative from each of the departments across the Hotel. Each year the departments are asked to name a Charity and in 2024 two charities were confirmed, Age UK Norwich and Parkside.
During the year, Jo and the Maids Head team have raised over £3,500 for Age UK Norwich. This has included abseiling down the Forum; supporting the charity with meeting spaces; collection boxes; costume talks for Norfolk Day and a fund raising quiz night.
