Shardlake Two Night Sleep Offer

In recognition of CJ Sansom’s book Tombland, we have developed an exciting Shardlake two night sleep offer.

Sansom’s book, Tombland, set in Tudor times, again features the lawyer, Matthew Shardlake. This time, Shardlake travels to Norwich and stays at the Maids Head. The lawyer arrives to investigate a gruesome murder and becomes engulfed in Kett’s Rebellion.

The Shardlake two night package includes accommodation, breakfast on both mornings and dinner on one night of your choice. Breakfast and dinner are all served in the atmospheric WinePress Restaurant, dating back to the 15th century inn.

What’s included in the two night Shardlake sleep offer.

Prices start from £425.00, based on 2 people sharing a Classic double room. Includes full English breakfast on both mornings. Dinner in our award winning 2 AA Rosette WinePress Restaurant on one night of your choice, with an allowance of £55.00 per person (food only). A copy of Tombland will be available in your room for you to make reference to. Supplement of £30.00 applies on a Saturday night.

To fully immerse in the Tombland experience, upgrade to our Shardlake Junior Suite, offering views towards the Erpingham Gate.

For your peace of mind, you may cancel your booking up until 72 hours prior to arrival after which full payment will be taken on the card provided at the time of booking. Please note this offer is not available between 22nd November 2026 and 1st January 2027.
