The 20th Century
Maids Head Hotel and its Bentleys
Welcome to a piece of our recent history dating back to the 20th century.
The hotel has a fleet of classic Bentleys for our guests to enjoy. Contact Reception to arrange your spin in a Bentley (subject to chauffeur availability). The blue Bentley is a rare 1950 Mark 6, left-hand drive convertible, with a Park Ward body. Only four of this particular model were made and just two survive. The Mark 6 was Bentley’s first post war luxury car and was manufactured between 1947 and 1952. The maroon Bentley is a 1955 R-Type Saloon. The R-Type replaced the Mark 6 in 1952 and was the last Bentley designed before closer integration with Rolls-Royce. The car has had eight previous owners, all UK-based. The gold Bentley is a 1963 S3 four-door luxury model. The S3 was manufactured between 1962 and 1965. It has a 6.2 litre, V8 engine.

The 20th Century Experience
The Hotel acquired both the Mark 6 and the S3 Bentleys in 2019. Since then our chauffeurs have taken many hotel guests on 20 minute spins around the sights of Norwich. In addition many wedding couples have enjoyed travelling to their ceremony, or taking a few minutes out of their day to take a moment to breathe and share a special experience.
If you are staying at the Hotel, talk to Reception about booking a Bentley tour.
